We believe that our passions, talents and the values we hold most important say something about who we really are. That we are most ourselves when doing what our heart desires. To find out whether this conviction is really true, during the quantitative research on which the book ‘Anders’ is based, we asked four thousand 5 to 25-year-olds what their passions and talents are and which values they find most important. Through a cluster analysis, the seven TwinQ personality typesemerged. And it turns out that these TwinQ personality types actually have their own personalities, each with their specific character traits, primary way of responding, pitfalls, activities that give them the most energy, etc.

A brief introduction into the 7 TwinQ personality types

1. The Artist is creative, has a vivid imagination and loves to create things. He is driven by his feelings and intuition and is averse to fixed and rigid patterns.
2. The Creator loves technology and enjoys coming up with technological solutions or building things. He is down to earth, relaxed and prefers to do things based on common sense.
3. The Action Hero loves sports and anything that involves action and adventure. He is competitive, impulsive, doesn’t like to talk about feelings and takes life as it is.
4. The Buddyis not so much interested in what he is doing, but with whom. He is extrovert, social, likes to cooperate or help others, likes to take the lead and has his feet firmly on the ground.
5. The Pragmatic is characterized by his pragmatic and structured attitude. He is down-to-earth, analytical, interested in people and likes to get things done.
6. The Romantic is a romantic dreamer. He is sensitive, creative and is a real nature lover. He has a rich emotional life, is modest and often prefers to keep himself in the background.
7. The Intuitiveis driven by his intuition which determines whether something is interesting enough or not. He is interested in spirituality and the ‘sixth sense’, is extroverted and likes to take the lead.

Segmentation model

The TwinQ personality types have already been used for a number of years as a segmentation model for companies and organisations to gain more insight into their target group. Since the various personality types have a clear profile and character, it quickly becomes clear why a product, service or communication expression does or does not appeal to certain types. New ideas can also be better attuned to the target group. Moreover, during various studies we have discovered that the TwinQ personality types are not only applicable to 5-25 year olds, but also to adults up to the age of 90!

Role Wheel©

The various roles are based on all the possible contributions people can make to the team or organizational goals. The wheel consists of 7 parts that differ in the way they react and act.

As an individual, you generally possess two natural roles, one of which is dominant.

The roles in the 3 inner circles of the wheel make it possible (in their own way) for the wheel to be carried, to start moving or to keep on turning:

1. The axis carries the whole. It provides a safe base, atmosphere and/or good energy flow.
2. The bearings ensure that the wheel can keep turning. They support/motivate on a physical, emotional or relational level.
3. The motor is focused on getting the wheel moving and keeping it moving. He directs others and ensures that people know what is expected of them and will eventually do it.

The outer circle consists of 4 parts that each (in their own way) make a direct contribution to the business / production process. These components are based on the 4 seasons and linked to the stages within a product development process:

4. Vision is focused on preparing for a new beginning through a vision or strategy for the future.
5. Idea is concerned with the ‘sowing’ of new possibilities, new ideas.
6. Production ensures that the ‘seeds’ grow into viable plants that blossom and are noticed by others.
7. End product ensures that the ‘plants’ are properly maintained and harvested.

The centra & their underlying drivers and motives

The various centers are linked to the chakras and their corresponding underlying drives and motives. It gives insight into your primary way of reacting, what you stand for and why you react to the outside world in a certain way.

Insight into the dominant centers of yourself and the other makes it clear, among other things, why you may fundamentally agree or disagree on certain topics/themes. You will see that sometimes it makes no sense to try to convince the other of your rightness, but all the more to respect each other’s difference of opinion.

In addition, it gives insight into the way someone looks at the world: with his head in the clouds or feet in the clay. Someone with his head in the clouds needs an overview, the big picture. For them, it is important to see the usefulness of a certain activity or rule and to have a view of the overarching goal. When it comes to implementation, they can be held accountable for their responsibilities and they need some degree of freedom to decide for themselves how to do something.

Someone with their feet in the clay would rather just know what is expected of them, how they should do something and when it should be ready. They need clear frameworks, tasks and instructions. The why of something is less relevant to them.
